#1 Strathcona Parkway, Mt. Washington BC

BE ADVISED: The BC Ministry of Transportation (not to mention all the wonderful folks sharing the road with you) require all vehicles on Strathcona Parkway to be equipped with good winter tires and have chains available to use if the chain-up light is on. Strathcona Pkwy is a public roadway and is maintained by Mainroad. Please visit drivebc.ca

BC FERRIES | Cruise on over

South Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay

Tsawwassen the ferry departs and arrives at the Swartz Bay terminal, 10 min. north of Victoria on Vancouver Island.

North Vancouver to Nanaimo

North Vancouver the ferry departs the Horseshoe Bay terminal and arrives at the Departure Bay terminal on Vancouver Island.

South Tsawwassen to Duke Point

Tsawwassen the ferry departs and arrives at the Duke Point terminal, 10 min. south of Naniamo on Vancouver Island.

Powell River to Comox

Flight Services to YQQ

Air Service from Vancouver: The Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) and Campbell River Airport (YBL) on Vancouver Island are the closest airports to Mount Washington. (approx. A 40-minute drive from either airport).

International and Domestic connections can be made through the Vancouver Airport (YVR) to Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) via Air Canada or WestJet. Regional carriers departing from YVR’s South Terminal offer service to Comox, via Pacific Coastal Airlines, or Campbell River via Central Mountain Air and Pacific Coastal.

WestJet offers a direct flight from Calgary(YYC) and Edmonton(YEG) airports to Comox Valley Airport (YQQ).

Harbour Air offers floatplane service from Vancouver to Comox harbour during the summer.

How old does my child need to be in order to ride the lifts?

Tots 3+ are permitted to Ride the Eagle chairlift Scenic Chairlift ride provided the child must be able to aid in self-rescue in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Children 6+ are permitted to Ride in the Bike Park provided the child must be able to aid in self-rescue in the unlikely event of an emergency as well as being a competent rider, and having a bike that meets all our requirements.
